i saw this movie or tv show or something a LONG LONG time ago maybe like 10-15 years ago when i was just a little kid.. its some sci-fi movie about some teens who are chilling on a boat and all of a sudden there is this big black "sheet" or flat animal or something that swims across the ocean and kills them off one at a time by swalling them up and such.. the last person makes it to shore but at the end is swallowed up anyway? anyone see this weird movie or sci-fi flick or what not?

don't think so... think it was a serious little film that was probably truly awful... like mystery science theater 3000 style awfulness

It sounds like Creepshow. Were the kids on a Raft in the middle of a lake? I remember one kid being pulled between the boards of the raft... ech!

To be precise - I think it was Creepshow II. It had that bit where the mysterious blob eats the kids on the lake, the one about the lady who hits the hitchiker that then follows her back home, and one more about a cigar store wooden indian that comes to life and kills some bad people. :) -- Russell Morris "So, broccoli, mother says you're good for me... but I'm afraid I'm no good for you!" - Stewy

I've seen it, but I have no idea what it's called. Very strange flick. :)

At least it reminds me of a short story by Stephen King, but I cannot remember its title. Regards Thomas

Man, talk about giving SF a bad name. Reminds me of when my mom read a Stephen King book and said "Paul, how do you read this science fiction crap?" I nearly choked to death on my own incredulity. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Christopher Duncan quoted: "...that would require my explaining Einstein's Fear of Relatives" Crikey! ain't life grand?
