Women priests?

Hi all, The front page of BBC shows a pic of a woman priest. We don't have women priests in the churches in our city [I am not a Christian but I have gone to churches]. Are women priests common in other places? Cheers Smitha Every person, all the events of your life, are there because you have drawn them there. Although the Bible specifically states that women cannot be 'priests', many 'christian' organisations 'ordain' women. You'll note my use of quotes. I know of no 'church' that has priests, and also in any way represents the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Yes, a lot of people ordain women as priests, but they mostly are so far removed from the Bible that it wouldn't matter if they ordained sheep. On the other hand, there are groups who would use the Bible to oppress women, and they are also wrong. Women are not inferior to men in the church, they simply have a differing role. It could be said that all who submit to Christ are priests: 1 Peter 2:4-6[^] Rev 1:5-7[^] But Jesus is the High Priest. It's like the term "saints", all christians are saints, yet the Catholic Church has made it into a special designation. I have a problem with ministers being called Reverend or Father. Those terms are reserved for God only.

I went 8 years to a Roman Catholic School and the Sisterhood at the time was the Sisters of Mercy[^] "In what kinds of ministries or jobs might you find Sisters of Mercy?
