This is my progress so far... eteras.com To be pronounced similar to the LOTR city of Edoras in Rohan. Please vote 1 if it sucks or 5 if it doesn't suck for an ISV name. Hi Jeremy, Well, it's your company, it's your software, it's your alpha brain-wave patterns, it's your blood, sweat and tears....it's your product, your services, your client's and ultimately your money....so why are you looking for so much of other's approval? :) anyway, just like you I too find it easier to handle COM and Visual C++ and am bloody and gibbering when it comes to actually naming my software company and registering a TLD. I would vote a 3 for your's though( a 5 if you are offering me a job):-O. tell me do you read Douglas Adams? (what a stupid Q! all programmer's worth their salt do this apart from drinking beer.....and surfing CP?) What Sector of the galaxy does the green-and-blue planet comes from that also lies on the faultline of the Improbability axis and can be visualized as a string of sausages? that's what I came up with 2 yrs of lateral thinking(but then I also have linguistic dyslexia) what I think I'm gonna go along with when it comes to my turn under the axe. :rose:

One test is to say it out loud in a crowded party and see how many people can remember it the next day, let alone how to spell it when they go looking for your web site. How easy it is to pronounce is surprisingly another factor. Eteras.com gets a one on the first aspect, and a two on the second since I'm not really sure by looking at the name how to pronounce it (your customers would not have read this post for the explanation). ShowProgramming.com was named when I was writing show control software for computerized lighting.
