http://www.spymac.com/index.php[^] These guys are promising a 1 gb mail account (apparently beating google to it) They are not giving it right away but we can sign up now. Thought its worth a post. I mean it could very well turn out to be the next big thing ? " Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ? "

Good except for: "If you're a Mac user on the Internet, Spymac.com has everything you need..." Unless the next big thing is being a Mac user on the Internet... "Those that say a task is impossible shouldn't interrupt the ones who are doing it." - Chinese Proverb

And they do no checking of what you type in the registration forms, which is always fun. Christian I have drunk the cool-aid and found it wan and bitter. - Chris Maunder

"Yeah, the front page says 1GB, the sign up page says" Yaargh ...The lowlives, that's a cheap trick. I was so glassy eyed I didn't even notice what was written on the inner page. Used form complete and moved on. " Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ? "

It gets better - I signed up and they did not email me. I made disparaging comments about Mac in my profile, I reckon I'll get no email address, and lots of spam. Good thing I used my hotmail account. Christian I have drunk the cool-aid and found it wan and bitter. - Chris Maunder

What sort of scam are these guys running. I can't believe they would spend their time writing up a website and promoting it only to screw people over on the first day. Who the heck will ever go back to them again ?! "Good thing I used my hotmail account." me 2 :) " Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ? "

I got my email, my account is apparently up and running. Now I intend on emailing a big MPG to myself, to see what happens. Actually, as I think about it, I reckon that mial server timeouts will stop these inboxes from containing files too big, and therefore, probably stop them from ever getting close to full. Who has a gig of email ? Christian I have drunk the cool-aid and found it wan and bitter. - Chris Maunder
