According to this it is "We built this city"[^] by the Starship X| Rounding out the top 10: "Achy Breaky Heart," Billy Ray Cyrus; "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" Wang Chung; "Rollin'," Limp Bizkit; "Ice Ice Baby," Vanilla Ice; "The Heart of Rock & Roll," Huey Lewis and the News; "Don't Worry Be Happy," Bobby McFerrin; "Party All the Time," Eddie Murphy; "American Life," Madonna; and "Ebony and Ivory," Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. I kind of like "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" Gary Kirkham A working Program is one that has only unobserved bugs I thought I wanted a career, turns out I just wanted paychecks

I disagreed with many on that list. However, "Achy Breaky Heart" is definitely a contender ! X| __________________________________________ a two cent stamp short of going postal.

"Agadoo" by Black Lace has to be THE worst song ever recorded. Altogether now ... "Aaaaagaaadooo .. doo .doo ...".

Those are nothing, in fact I rather like most of those songs except American Life and Party All the Time. I once karaoked Achy Breaky Heart in front of hundreds of people to win a Sound Blaster 16, I lost which makes the memory even more painful. And we all know the worst song of all time is: Badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger mushroom mushroom. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Christopher Duncan quoted: "...that would require my explaining Einstein's Fear of Relatives" Crikey! ain't life grand? Evidently, 'of all time' == since 1980 or so. If you include the 70's, there's always "Feelings" by Morris Albert (no, I didn't remember his name; of course I google'd for it). Gary Kirkham wrote: I kind of like "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" Me too :-O.

Now those are certainly weak tunes, but I'm guessing the true 50 worst recorded songs never got much airplay. Besides that, there's a Beatles tune on the list, it can't be correct. :| BW The Biggest Loser

I don't think that's fair. It was no "White Rabbit" but I kinda liked "We Built this City". My all-time candidate is that song "I'm Too Sexy". I F@#*'IN HATE THAT GUY. After that it'd be a pretty narrow field like...anything on the radio now. Brian "In the beginning the Universe was created. Most the songs listed sound like the rantings of a crank. "Acy Breaky Heart" and "The Heart of Rock and Roll" may be irritating and even strongly disliked, but are, by no means, the worse songs ever. They're not even close. Since they include a rendition, even, I suppose, if the original was fine, how could they not include William Shatner's rendition of Rocket Man. (Trying to find the mpeg or MP3 of this has proven difficult. Actually anything sung by Shatner is painful to the ears. Found this link, but they are .ram files: http://home.earthlink.net/~dougwk/bill.html[^]. Here's the MP3: http://www.cluke.demon.co.uk/songs.html#rockman[^]) Besides, I think of many songs from the late 70s and shudder. (Did a search; "Boogie Oogie Oogie", "Love is like Oxygen".. aaahhh, the memories... hurt....) Anyone who thinks he has a better idea of what's good for people than people do is a swine. - P.J.
