... and those that would like to: what is your favourite song to play on the guitar or what song would you like to know how to play? I'm expecially thinking about those songs that require you to use your finger-picking skills, for instance like "Babe, I'm gonna leave you". I'm looking for some ideas to broaden my "repertoire" so any ideas would be welcome :-)

"Street Spirit" by Radiohead is a great song to finger-pick... Uses a Am/Em/C9 arpeggio chord sequence.

I like the intro/verse to Tesla's "What you give". It's easier fingerpicked. After the acoustic intro/verse thing it just rocks. I'm a fan of dual guitarist though. nay

I love playing some of the longer Metallica songs--And Justice For All, Master of Puppets, To Live Is To Die, etc. They have lots of interesting changes that make them fun. I also like playing their more melodic stuff--Sanitarium, Fade To Black, One... they're just VERY satisfying when you nail it. Of course, if you don't like Metallica this doesn't help. A very fun one to play is The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin--but you gotta tune your guitar VERY oddly to get it right (something like DADGAD... can't remember off the top of my head). There's lots of Zep that's fun to play, and not particularly hard once you learn it. Black Dog, Stairway, Over The Hills and Far Away... fun stuff.

Fav pieces to play: - Bach's Cello Suite #6 (my transcription) - Agustin Barrios's "La Catedral" - Leo Brouwer's Decameron Negro (chicks dig this believe it or not, at least they did in Italy), and Concerto Elegiaco. ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Playing 'Landslide' and 'Dust in the Wind' keeps my finger picking in shape. You should consider learning different finger picking styles, and then incorporate them in your own tunes!
