It's their push to get people to use the Google toolbar or GMail. Microsoft really believes in Google as a company, and wants to do everything they can to help them. This is not even about popups...Just try to compare the access speed to your hotmail box with yahoo box...It's amazing, I believe MSFT is integrating some for(int i=0;i<1000000...cycles in their code to thrive hardware grows and push inet speed limits going forward;))

It's plenty fast for me. Perhaps it's because MSN actually uses images and Yahoo! - since day one - seems to be opposed to images.

Sympathies. I (*and I think I'm not alone) use hotmail only as a spam id to sign onto sites that I suspect might give it to spammers. Then I check it for awhile to see if anything happens and if not move it to yahoo or my office id. *(Think Grauss also does something similar) " Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ? "

Seriously, I'd get either toolbar ASAP, unless you're on a different browser. It'll decrease your chance of picking up malware, and it is useful to be able to search instantly. Regards, Jeff Varszegi EEEP!  An Extensible Expression Evaluation Package

Honestly, the interface seems a lot more intuitive and faster as well. Just my opinion though. www.CoderForRent.com
