I've gotten hooked on Everquest. Been playing about a year now, with no end in sight. Josh Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you'll have a back-ache...

Josh Martin wrote: I've gotten hooked on Everquest. Ah, good old EQ... I finally cancelled my account less than a year ago, having played since the week after launch. I played EQ pretty much exclusively for 4+ years, a record for me. Since then I've gotten an Xbox, and have been playing lots of Project Gotham Racing 2 (finally on the last single player race now), plus some Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for good measure.

Most of my "play" time is spent playing Reality Basketball :laugh: When i do sit down for a video game it is usually Halo or Project Gotham ( I or II) with some friends.

I'm totally addicted to BattleField Vietnam. I bought a Dell XPS system with all the bells and wistles. I get very good framerates and sometimes I feel a bit guilty that I can probably see enemies from a farther distance and with smoother motion. I am awaiting World of Warcraft. I'm a bit behind the times: - Age of Empires II, The Conquerors Expansion - Grand Theft Auto, Vice City AOE online is a blast. Has anyone tried Rise of Nations? How does it compare to AOE? I've heard Mafia is even better than than GTA. Regards, Alvaro

I just finished Manhunt on XBox and have started dabling back with the various Tom Clancy games (also XBox). Manhunt was great for unwinding - nice clean storyline and perfect for half an hour here or there, and the Ghost Recon games are great more for spending an hour or two with. On the PC I haven't played it in a while but I do enjoy firing up Delta Force BHD for a couple of hours of online play every now and again - it's sufficiently old enough that the annoying kiddies have moved on to the next best thing so you can play with some really great players now. Reading Rob's reply, I will occasionally fire up GTAIII or GTAVC on XBox every now and again when I feel like some general city driving or cop killing, but after completing both on the PC I don't bother following the storys anymore. I bought myself a PS2 this year, and the only game I've had that was anything other than a quick novelty was Timesplitters 2 (and only then because I didn't realise it was on XBox too - I am really disappointed with my PS2 - I bought it to set it up for online play but the crappy portal Sony provide is slow and impossible to use). Ooh ooh and thanks to Bogdan Commandos will be gettign a dust off this weekend. It is the only game I have bought every installment for and I still love the gameplay! My most played game though by the number of hours spent with it will have to be the Solitaire Showdown game that comes with MSN Messenger 6. I've played away entire days with friends on that one (and no all in one go...)

It's the first game in years I've sat there playing and then thought Oh look it's getting light. :-D The really scary part is I've been playing nothing else for over a month now and I'm still only about half way through the main plot of the first game let alone starting the addons. pseudonym67 My Articles[^] "They say there are strangers who threaten us, In our immigrants and infidels. Pandora Tomorrow is on my wish list, but for now I've still got more playability in my current games than I have time to play them. From the reviews I've seen it looks amazing though - I can't wait!

Mafia's got an excellent graphics engine and a pretty cool storyline (imagine that), though there are levels that are frustratingly hard--and you have to beat them to be able to continue; there's nothing else you can do until then. Unfortunately I found it had little replayability value. Mostly because I didn't want to get stuck again on the levels that held me back for weeks at a time...
