Bah! What is it with Porsche that people seem to like? They are ghastly (they are all look like wheelybins with – err – wheels). If I wanted to drive round in a convertible dustbin, then I’d buy a BMW. Just where is your taste? If you’ve got that kind of money to waste, then why not get a decent car like a Merc or a Jag - something that looks like a car – not a reject from the Coke machine factory. The Porsche Boxster is the sexiest looking, feeling, driving car on the planet, bar none. If you've never driven one, go to your local dealer and take one for a fly. Feel the accelleration push you back into the seat, and the deceleration is equally amazing. Porsche are renowned for the brakes, amongst other things. To realy experience a Porsche though you need to get one on to a race track. It gets even better when you have the unadultered thrill and rush of being the passenger on a track with a professional racing car drive at the wheel. I'm speaking from experience here. Even washing a Boxster is a pleasure, with all those sensuous shapely curves.:-D And of course it has to be red. Neville Franks, Author of ED for Windows. I agree completely, especially when it comes to 911s. The old models with the big fixed spoilers were cool, but these new ones (which kinda look like they're crying) are ugly. The one exception is the Porsche Carrera GT. That's a sweet looking car. I actually have it as my desktop wallpaper. It's so sweet that Porsche hasn't even decided if they'll produce it -- probably because it would break their tradition of making ugly cars :-). Regards, Alvaro

I like Porsches... ok, I wouldn't pick one over a Ferrari, but definitely over a BMW or Jaguar (ok, it depends, maybe not a Boxter over a XKR) As for Porsches being girls' cars, I for sure would like a girl on a 911 Turbo. Well, I never have had the pleasure of driving (or even riding) a Porsche, but I really like the car... the Carrera GT is awesome! I've read (no quote here, I don't remember exactly where, but several articles) that Prosches are great for driving, but I've also read bad reviews. I thinks it's a matter of personal taste. The best cars I've driven are an Audi TT (180 hp) and a new BMW 330Ci (the former with manual trasmision, the latter automatic) and both were a pleasure to drive...
