A safe browser? No, but a much safer browser, yes: Firefox. Everyone had a project on the past (or present) that became so patched that every new bug fix introduces a new bug. It seems to be what's happening with IE. About the copy & paste feature of your password safe system, it's flawed: in the past I've done a system wich needed to put sensible data on the clipboard. The correct way, IIRC, was using "clipboard delayed rendering". This way the source application receives a message when the data is needed: on the first paste, the data was pasted, and on the second paste, it was replaced by "The clipboard data was already read {n} times". If some software manages to read the clipboard, you'll at least notice it. Yes, even I am blogging now!

Mozilla has a plugin, IEView, that adds a right-click menu option "View this {page/link} in IE" for this situation. This way, I use Firefox all the time, and when some page doesn't support it, I quickly open only this page in IE. Yes, even I am blogging now!

BTW, I promise I'm going to read your book. I finally got a hold of a realtor that's actually showing me houses (I have a viewing in an hour actually), so I'll probably be doing that this weekend though. I can say, the more I'm play around with C# the more I want to learn it better, so eventually my old, lazy butt will get around to it. :) Jeremy Falcon

Clipboard data can be stolen when surfing the Web with IE, using javascript. I have IE 6.0 and all latest service packs, and this problem is real.:eek: http://www.friendlycanadian.com/applications/clipboard.htm[^] Hope you haven't copied any confidential data when surfing, I had done this many times!!!! What's more, I use to store site:user:password in an encripted system, from there I copy it using copy-paste. Will someone ever be able to create a secure Browser?
This is a long standing problem that I read about here at least 6 months ago. I know they should make secure browsers, we all know that, but until they do if you care about security you really need keep on top of security bulletins etc.
