yea, when I was running Gentoo at school this past semester I saw the foldingat home in the portage ebuilds (great package system). To get it all I had to type in was emerge foldingathome Also, I never got arround to using mono on linux, what are the differences? I'm sure you can configure KDevelop to use mono to compile the apps. Can you use ASP.net with mono? -Steven Hicks

Well so far I've just compiled using the command line "mcs" I have an ASP.net project written on windows working fine on the XSP web server. My next step is to see if I can use our database code to connect to a mysql database. Mono has drivers for mysql - so - fingers crossed! :)

Hehe...I'm working on my 5th work unit. This thing is huge. I left my 3 GHz HyperThreaded P4 Extreme with 2 Gigs of RAM running all last night and this morning and it's only chewed through about 20% of the thing. I think it's time I started running this on that virutally unused Dual 2GHz Xeon server at work. :cool:

I've got a dual opteron server crunching 2 at a time and it usually chews on some really long work units. The folding software gives harder work units to more powerful computers. You can see who's running more powerful computers because they will have a higher score with much fewer work units.

What do you think of the new BOINC method at SETI@home? I can get it to work from home (after numerous Berkeley server up/downs), but can't use it from work.
