Where Did It Go?
-
I just noticed something missing from Win2K. Okay, I'm a little slow here, but back in the Win98 days the context menu for Windows Explorer had a selection called Quickview. Selecting a file and clicking on this tool displayed details about the file internals - entry points, exported functions, etc. Where did it go, and how can I get it back? Was that part of Windows, or was it some little utility I downloaded from the Web? It's definitely missing from Win2K Server, and I want it back! Ummm...I don't think that's been in Windows since 98... But you can get it here for a small price.

If you have VC installed you should have "View Dependencies" Todd Smith

I haven't tried Dependency Walker yet, since it's tucked away in an inconvenient menu rather than a click away, but I'm glad the functionality hasn't gone away for good. :-D "My kid was Inmate of the Month at Adobe Mountain Juvenile Corrections Center" - Bumper Sticker in Bullhead City

Run the program once, and it will allow one click access. When you right click on a .dll or .exe, it will have a context menu entry that says "View Dependancies". Or, for .dll's, you can simply double-click them. Chris Richardson
