a) if there is a drug to treat it, you will find someone who calls it an illness. b) a syndrome is just a distinguishible behavioral pattern, without an attached reason (i.e. a set of related symptoms) c) 20, but I think it's misdiagnosed. I'm "Anti-Asperger" with the social questions - mostly because I'm a "human behavior geek", so thinking about facial impressions, motivation etc. is what I do instead of collecting star wars light sabres.. (I want to be Asperger too!!!!) d) 37 is ok, really. It's nice to know it's not only us guys....

That was actually far lower than I expected. I wonder whether that's because - although I can still be quite awkward in some social situations - I'm now very heavily biased towards people and social interaction these days? I don't know...but I othen think there are two distinct sides to my personality - the rational, creative side to which abstraction appeals (hence my career) and the emotional empath that loves people. Thing is, in forced social situations (meetings with clients, investors, etc.) I can schmooze my way into their favor, and have shifted their focus my way in many occassions. Even as a kid I was very manipulative. I've seen tests like this before, and while I am normally very focused on things, very imaginitive (finding solutions where others cannot in many situations), and all that go with it I tend to have a bit more social skills than those diagnosed with autism (of varying kinds). I wouldn't put too much faith in such tests unless it accounts for such things. Just calculating numbers doesn't say a whole lot. Everyone who knows me personally finds me to be a big geek (I take that as a compliment, thus proving it, wouldn't you say? :)). And what little I know of you from this site, I think you're a geek, too. I only hope you view that as a compliment as well. :)
