AirCar?

My question is this, how is compressed air created? My guess is that there is electricity involved in compressing the air and electricity does create pollution, so this is not truly a pollution free vehicle. Of course, maybe compressed air occurs naturally in nature and I'm missing a very big point. ;) Custom Software, Custom Solutions. Yye Software. http://www.yyesoftware.com

On top of thsoe excellent comments, it's also much easier to control emissions at a few large non-moving sites, than at millions of moving ones :)

Agree completely. How many of those moving ones are maintained right. I do not mind getting old. It beats all the other options that can think of.

Do not know if this has been talked about here before, but I have never heard of it. Just got a posting on my HintsandTips site about it. Pretty cool if it really works! http://www.hintsandtips.com/ShowTip/146/hat.aspx[^] Rocky <>< www.HintsAndTips.com - Now with GMail Queue www.MyQuickPoll.com - 2004 Election poll is #33
(EDITED) Ok, I am game for looking at one (if specs delivered.) Who wants to setup (and pass) a US distributor? It can not be that much worse than my toyota meeting a 18 wheeler. --> "But at MDI's grudging admission, the prototypes do not yet live up to their promised levels of performance. In fact, in the only published road test to date, one of the cars traveled a little over seven kilometers (4.5 miles) on a full tank of air." WIRED[^] That is a year old. Any better distance documented? I do not mind getting old. It beats all the other options that can think of.

What I want to know is this.. Why is it that every time a company release a new car design that is supposed to be fuel efficient they feel the need to have the design of the car look like some matchbox toy or a golf cart on steroids? Why does no one release a new hybrid car that looks like a Jaguar or a Corvette?

Yep. I don't know why, but I like it.

I guess they think "sporty" represents "Suck my wallet dry at the pump". A few years back they had a commercial that was a success with my in that I still remember it, but I do not have a clue what they were advertising. It was where a guy is at the pump filling up his sports car, when he is done, he gets inside and revs they motor once pretty hard. Gas gauge drops to E. :) For me, I think they need to downsize vehicles anyway. In other countries (not in the USA) many vehicles are much smaller. In the USA we need more smaller two seaters and smaller family cars. I would even enjoy some small one seaters or person transport vechicles. I know, go-carts for everyone! It's nice to know my two years of latin weren't a complete waste of time;) Seriously though, I would encourage everyone to learn some latin if they have the chance. You'll learn more about the roots of the english language than any English class.
