Isn't a room where you are required to work for more than x hours a day required by [UK] law to have at least one window per x square feet? I'm sure I heard that somewhere (maybe it is only for schools?) That the hell is it with men who run their hands under water for 0.2 seconds after they use the rest room†! What psychological disorder do these people suffer from that they must delude themselves into believing that constitutes washing your hands! Then they pull off three feet of paper towel, wad it up and throw it in the trash. If your going to be an unsanitary oaf and spread your urine all over your workplace then do so. Don't feel obligated to play in the water just because there is someone else in the rest room that might observe the fact that you did not wash your hands. † For international readers, “rest room” is the American description of a room designated to expel contaminated matter.
I think this is a prime example of the health industry drumming up paranoia about sanitary situations. Our whole world has become one big seething mass of nay saying health nuts who would actually love to live in plastic bubbles and never touch another human being or "exposed surface" in their lives. It is a sad state of affairs and very unneccesary. You go to the urinal, you do your thing. Naturally you hold your penis but also naturally you do not go and piss on your hands. Your penis is not covered in dangerous infectous bacteria. If it were covered in bacteria do you honestly think your wife or girlfriend would let it anywhere near their nether regions? hmmm? Think about it. If I don't wash my hands after going to the toilet and touch a door or two that bacteria does not miracuosly stay behind on the door and survive till the next hand to come along. Only the most hardened and virile germs can do that, and if you have those then touching doors is the least of your worries, you should be in bubble tent quarantine. What I am saying really is that we are all paranoid about pretty harmless stuff. 50 years ago we did not have all these disinfectants and potent germ killers, yet people lived and survived and generally lived just as healthy lives. Yes keep clean, wash your hands (to keep care of your skin) and bath daily. I have nothing against those who do not wash their hands. The point was to criticize those people to act like they do (touch the water for a second). Frankly, humans are walking petri dishes.
