Hey! Look what I have found!

Have you thought about a press release for here on CP? CP has a section for that.. Rocky <>< www.HintsAndTips.com - Includes Developer Tips www.MyQuickPoll.com - Now with Recent Poll List
Rocky, we will be doing that. To be frank we have been keeping WDevs relatively low key, and want to have a press release when we have more 'services' ready. I for one wasn't expecting Aron's post here in the lounge. Regardz Colin J Davies Attention: It's finally arrived, The worlds first DSP.

Thanks for noticing :) I hope you like it there. - Anders ShotKeeper, my Photo Album / Organizer Application[^]
My Photos[^]Thanks. I really do. Regards Aron Henning

The other day I found a new webside offering Blogs, mail-box with forward as an option, and ftp space. All for free. The page I found is wdevs.com Regards Aron Henning
You know.. I'd be blogging too if I had a clue what to write. I find it hard to believe that people are actually interested in knowing what I have to say. Maybe I'm soapboxing too much. :~ -- Arigato gozaimashita!

Yeah, I am sure you will get a number of posts here over time. You guys are doing a good job. There is one need a lot of developers need, free web hosting for small sites. You could offer both free and paid for those that want more features while the free carries advertising. There are a few places that give free sites, but could be a nice addition to your package. (No, I would not need it but have known several developers that do not have a site or a very limited one). The strange thing is, the last time somebody announced Anders' website, it was a young guy from denmark who had posted no other messages on this site: http://www.codeproject.com/lounge.asp?msg=868131#xx868131xx[^] This time somebody announces Anders' website, it's a young guy from denmark who has posted only one other message on this site. Same here. I started writing a basic blogger, thinking it'd be fun to get into it, but I found I never knew what to write about. Maybe I'm just boring. :~ BW The Biggest Loser

I think blogging and soapboxing are a bit different. Normally bloggers have one main area of discussion where they attempt to articulate their thoughts. While Soapboxers, basically rant on a topic of disgust. But these topics change as their temper changes. Note: WDevs purposefully doesn't have a soapbox because we believe it is catered well for developers elsewhere. Regardz Colin J Davies Attention: It's finally arrived, The worlds first DSP.

Well, I have friends and I know people. If they feel the need to post here, it's not my fault is it? I happen to know quite a few devs in Denmark, and I tell them about what I have done when I make something new. You might take this as a bait for a huge fight, but I wont comment more on it ;) - Anders ShotKeeper, my Photo Album / Organizer Application[^]

My Photos[^]So, what do you guys write about? Just about anything that comes to mind? When I'm working, my mind has sunken very deep into the darkest pit of my brain. Some say I can't be communicated with when I'm fully concentrated. I sometimes miss lunch by an hour because of that. I don't see how I could ever find the time to write anything useful. And when I get home I'd like to be as far away from programming as possible. I doubt anybody is really that interested in my ramblings about Unreal Tournament, or whatever I'm up to at home. -- Arigato gozaimashita!

Congrats on the new site Colin, Anders & Morten. I look forward to seeing where it goes. A couple of things. Security would be of concern to many developers. For example are files in the FTP area stored as plain text or are they encrypted (against hackers). I personally wouldn't store any sensitive files on someone's elses server unless I knew they were safe from prying eyes. And I couldn't see anything on the FAQ page about advertising rates. Would be nice to know. Neville Franks, Author of ED for Windows www.getsoft.com and coming soon: Surfulater www.surfulater.com

I think I, and you too, are quite normal. We just don't have anything to say that's interesting enough worth the effort of reading. At least we'd like to think so. Maybe I should write about my typical Sunday routine. Everything from waking up in the morning through cleaning the apartment. It might be interesting for someone to know about. Seemingly boring routines by one person, may perhaps be highly exotic and fascinating by others. :~ -- Arigato gozaimashita!
