Yeah, I am sure you will get a number of posts here over time. You guys are doing a good job. There is one need a lot of developers need, free web hosting for small sites. You could offer both free and paid for those that want more features while the free carries advertising. There are a few places that give free sites, but could be a nice addition to your package. (No, I would not need it but have known several developers that do not have a site or a very limited one). You know.. I'd be blogging too if I had a clue what to write. I find it hard to believe that people are actually interested in knowing what I have to say. Maybe I'm soapboxing too much. :~ -- Arigato gozaimashita!

I think blogging and soapboxing are a bit different. Normally bloggers have one main area of discussion where they attempt to articulate their thoughts. While Soapboxers, basically rant on a topic of disgust. But these topics change as their temper changes. Note: WDevs purposefully doesn't have a soapbox because we believe it is catered well for developers elsewhere. Regardz Colin J Davies Attention: It's finally arrived, The worlds first DSP.

Rocky, we will be doing that. To be frank we have been keeping WDevs relatively low key, and want to have a press release when we have more 'services' ready. I for one wasn't expecting Aron's post here in the lounge. Regardz Colin J Davies Attention: It's finally arrived, The worlds first DSP.

Well, I have friends and I know people. If they feel the need to post here, it's not my fault is it? I happen to know quite a few devs in Denmark, and I tell them about what I have done when I make something new. So, what do you guys write about? Just about anything that comes to mind? When I'm working, my mind has sunken very deep into the darkest pit of my brain. Some say I can't be communicated with when I'm fully concentrated. I sometimes miss lunch by an hour because of that. I don't see how I could ever find the time to write anything useful. And when I get home I'd like to be as far away from programming as possible. Congrats on the new site Colin, Anders & Morten. I look forward to seeing where it goes. A couple of things. Security would be of concern to many developers. For example are files in the FTP area stored as plain text or are they encrypted (against hackers). I personally wouldn't store any sensitive files on someone's elses server unless I knew they were safe from prying eyes. And I couldn't see anything on the FAQ page about advertising rates. Would be nice to know. Neville Franks, Author of ED for Windows www.getsoft.com and coming soon: Surfulater www.surfulater.com

We don't do banner ads on our sites so I'm afraid we can't help each other in that way, but I'd be happy to add you to: http://www.getsoft.com/recommended_sites.html[^] if you're interested. Maybe you can add a page with links to developer products like ours.:rose: Neville Franks, Author of ED for Windows www.getsoft.com and coming soon: Surfulater www.surfulater.com

Do you have a small banner somewhere, like a gif with a size of 100x30? I would be happy to add a link to you site on my personnal website, and it's more noticable with a small image (who knows, at least 3 people may be able to see it, per year! :-D )

You know.. I'd be blogging too if I had a clue what to write. I find it hard to believe that people are actually interested in knowing what I have to say. Maybe I'm soapboxing too much. :~ -- Arigato gozaimashita!
