The H.M.S. Bounty in all her 810mm splendor (how big is that in useful measurements - inches?), Merry Christmas John, 25.4mm to the inch. I constructed R/C model aircraft from balsa wood when I was a kid, but never could afford a remote control unit and so they never flew! I loved the construction of the airframe, pushrods, landing gear etc but not so much the finishing details. Like with software the last 5% becomes just as much effort as the first 95% and starts to become more of a chore. I'm reading the Python tutorial at the moment, did you know the guy named the language after the 'Flying Circus': From the Python doco: By the way, the language is named after the BBC show ``Monty Python's Flying Circus'' and has nothing to do with nasty reptiles.
