Most states have a town called Climax. There is one in Michigan i pass when driving Toronto <-> San Diego off of I94 between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. Kinda funny to see signs "Climax 10 miles" ... "Climax 1 mile" ...cmk Save the whales - collect the whole set

I thought Bullhead was strange until I saw what some others have posted here. There's a major lumber company in the US called 84 Lumber. I never have learned why they picked that dumb name, but now I wonder if the company may have originated in 84, PA? On a sidenote, I did a search once to see if there are any other places called Bullhead. Keep in mind that we're located on a river, the Colorado, and the nearest town is Laughlin, NV. Then check out Bullhead, SD[^] and tell me that's not weird. What are the odds that there'd be a Bullhead, SD, located on a river (the Grand River, I believe), with the nearest neighbor being McLaughlin? I can't understand why the Chamber of Commerce hasn't done anything to market this weirdity. Heck, we ought to buy them all plane tickets here for a weekend of gambling!
