With (at least) the Logitech mouse, if the window is scrollable, you can push the mouse wheel down and the cursor changes to d directional arrow cursor (ie the cursor has arrows in the direction(s) that you can scroll), then you just move the mouse to scroll up/down/left/right while continuing to hold the mouse wheel down. :cool: Steve
I find that feature annoying, so it the first thing to go when installing the MS mouse drivers. Luckly there is a nice pretty diagram of the mouse to, in case anyone can't work out what each button is called. lol

Microsoft mice do that as well. I had a mouse the other day that closed the window when the mouse wheel was pushed - seems I use this feature all the time:mad: It is also very useful for mice with stuck mouse wheels - I have a couple of those!

Indeed. After a rather vigorous game of Half Life once I realised I had bashed my wheel for the last time. The strange thing is that at first it was not usable anymore but over the months it has slowly been coming right. I'm trying to decide if I should feel sorry for your in South Africa where appearently mice cost so much that it breaks the budget to replace them, or if you are just cheap enough that you won't replace it if there is any way to jury rig it into sort of working. In the first case let me know how to ship a mouse to you, in the latter case. Well I'm the same way, I wouldn't replace it either.

:laugh: A normal scroll mouse, even from MS, would be at most R150 but this one I rescued from an exiting boss and costs about R500. It is one of those expensive Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer optical jobs. Also it is one of the original versions and is so much better than the later designs. So even buying a new one isn't going to be great. Plus, the wheel works for the most part fine these days.
