True, but for static content you just as easily could've typed up a static HTML page in notepad or something. Make it do something worthy of ASP.NET! :) This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Yes yes; I know it's not _so_ amazing. Hardly a revolution. Most of the work has been on the Python scripts which run in my computer to encode and upload the audio, then generate an index in XML. I'll probably add some kind of forum at the bottom some time and auto-rotation of content from the past - that could even be by user voting! reminds me my very beginning with ASP.NET :) First "app" I made was simple button + label thing. :-D Then very simple use of MSSQL... and then huge 10k+ web cookery book with many unfinished features :-D (school project) Damn.... I should finish it... :(( So, generate some html, use asp.net webcontrols, MSSQL and webservices... and u know what ASP.NET is all about :) btw, welcome brother ;) Never forget: "Stay kul and happy" (I.A.)

A good application is determined by what happens behind the screen, not by what the user sees. :-) So don't mind what other people say. good luck :-). "If I don't see you in this world, I'll see you in the next one... and don't be late." ~ Jimi Hendrix

Nice going Joel. That first step is always great and I hope it leads onto more. What language did you use, C# or VB.NET? I look forward to your first ASP.NET article here on CP ;) regards, Paul Watson South Africa Michael Dunn wrote: "except the sod who voted this a 1, NO SOUP FOR YOU" Crikey! ain't life grand?

The actual web part of this project is in C# - I can't stand BASIC. But most of the actual work (80% of the code) is performed by a python script; which automatically updates the content on the site.
