You really should get out more... Ignorance and stupidity are both fatal flaws, but ignorance is curable. Extremists? We just had two back-to-back elections wherein the winner barely cleared the bar - we're split 50-50 to such an extent that neither party had any chance of winning a clear majority. We have so much diversity that no opinion can gain a clear advantage, and all that we do must be decided amidst much compromise. We are a melting pot of opinion, not being directed by any demagogue. That's because we welcome all, and invite all to participate in the decision process. Arsalan Malik wrote: essentially it is US who created this evil state and is still supporting it. Would you care to offer any actual facts to support this statement, or are you satisfied with merely making a false statement and letting it stand? The main decision-making body of the UN at the time Israel was created consisted of: China, France, USSR, UK, USA, Argentina, Canada, Ukrainian SSR. The USA got only one vote. Arsalan Malik wrote: Your culture is voilence, extremism, bullyism and hatered. I'm a teacher - forgive me. Support your answer in an essay of 500 words or less. Name an example or three, if you can. Certainly we have made tactical and strategic errors; all nations do. Our leaders are no more perfect than anyone else's. Our leaders often do things in our names that we don't agree with, but we only get a chance to toss them out every four years. In many countries, especially in the mid-East, they never get that opportunity as long as their chosen fanatic lives. The primary reason that GWB won is that the towers were attacked; you don't grab the tail of a tiger and expect to have an easy ride. We're a passive people until we're attacked. Had bin Laden never struck, Kerry would have won. He's a wimp, but he has better hair. The swing vote would have gone to the guy with better hair, and an agenda to provide more socialist freebies for all. But the people are pissed. We did nothing, as a population, to deserve such a strike - we are not even informed as to what our representatives are doing "for us" most of the time. All that we know is that we are being taxed to death to do things that our government says are good for us and the world. Our only sin is that we tend to believe them. That's not much different from you believing the lies and distortions you've been taught. Japan thought we were an easy target, too, back in '41. W

Americans are happy to accept worse dictator in history of mankind as their new president. This truly represents that most americans support this cowboy's massive killings in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Palestine, America and elsewhere. This is the best that an evil democracy can produce, and he proved it in his previous term. American people were given a chance, but unfortunatly they could not avail it. I would want the testimony of several people in positions of authority within the government who had access to the planning of the attack. I would want reputable people to do some cross checking of the facts they claimed. I would want an explanation of the motivation of those who actually flew the planes (all duly cross checked). I would want to see those making the claims persuasively defend them in the face of sceptical criticism. John Carson
