That is a pretty average and even optimistic waiting time. Getting into Australia takes 2 years. I am not sure I could even get into the U.S. without some major help. About the only 1st world country that I as a Saffa can live in without much trouble is the U.K. and even then being allowed to stay there permanently is a challenge. I imagine Serge is not much better off, ex-Soviet and all. regards, Paul Watson South Africa The Code Project Pope Pius II said "The only prescription is more cowbell. "

I decided to move to Canada. I've recently signed a contract with an immigration company (Rosenblatt Associates). The process will take ~1.5 year to complete. Guys, who is out there in Canada, is it worth in your opinion? Regards, Serge (Logic Software, Easy Projects .NET site)

Hi Serge, sorry to say that, but it is useless tu use an immigration compny. I also immigrated to Canada (Quebec) 3 years ago, I've done the whole process myself, and it is very easy, and it is not faster with an immigration cie. It is just more expensive, I took me ~1 year to have the visa. HTH.

Where did you move from? I decided for an immigration company because 1) I don't want the mail between me and authorities to be read by 3d parties (KGB) as it happens here in Belarus 2) Actually, being really pressed for time at my job I would like somebody to handle all the stuff for myself Regards, Serge (Logic Software, Easy Projects .NET site)

I moved from France It is easier to get the visa to Quebec because they are seeking french-speeking immigrants.
