I second that... forcasts are saying we may see some snow here (London), but it only seems to be getting warmer 13C at lunch... not such a good sign.

I saw someone cutting his lawn today, near Nottingham, England. I received some photos today from a cousin in Ontario -23 C, he could not even get to work, as his road was not ploughed!

Temperatures have dropped to 23 C (73 F). I feel cold - lemme go get that extra sweater I think I will have to kill you now. :-D Although it isn't deathly cold (it's between 20 and 30 F), it is icy... it took me about 30 minutes to get my car door open, defrost/scrape off the ice on the windshield, and get it going. I could have walked to work quicker... And I'll remember next time to park in the garage..  An expert is somebody who learns more and more about less and less, until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.

X| I'm freezing here in Utah and you're complaining about a brisk 23 C ?! Haven't you heard about White Christmas? :) The temperature in Sweden is, sadly, about 0 C. I want -5 C and at least 40cm of snow.

Tell you what; let's trade places. I live in Xenia, Ohio in the U.S. Over the last 36 hours, we've received a record-setting 25 inches (~63 cm) of snow. During that same period, I've spent approximately 10 of those hours shoveling snow out of my driveway and sidewalk. Without bragging, I can state I have an above-average state of fitness, from years of running, weightlifting, and bicycling. Every frigging muscle and bone in my body hurts, and that's after a hot shower and two naproxen sodium pills.

A "White Christmas" here in the Greater Seattle area consists primarily of thick white fog. While I'll miss the snow back in the Midwest this year, I'm glad we don't have any here at this altitude. People here drive bad enough in the rain; I'd hate to see them on snow they rarely get. I know what you mean, though. Christmas just doesn't seem like Christmas without snow on the ground. Besides, how is Santa supposed to land without ripping up your shingles if there's no snow on your roof? This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. I used to think every inch of the States got snow at Christmas, even the tip of Florida and right up to the borders of Mexico (of course once you set foot inside Mexico I never imagined snow and thought it was 30C all year round). Just goes to show how skewed TV is eh, every show had snow in it around Christmas time. regards, Paul Watson South Africa The Code Project Pope Pius II said "The only prescription is more cowbell. "
