It's Snowing
-
Well, it started yesterday with freezing rain and last night it switched over to snow and hasn't really stopped. The snow is suppose to continue on until tomorrow morning, all the schools are closed and I am downtown here at work. :^) How is the weather where you are?

My Blog | My ArticlesA nice drizzle :^) When I came in (5 hours ago)it was 52f. Now it is 41f and falling. I hope my light jacket is good enough to get home. We had ice and snow 2 weeks ago, I am not sure I can take it twice in one winter! [edit - obvious USA label added] I do not mind getting old. It beats all the other options that can think of.

Michael A. Barnhart wrote: We had ice and snow 2 weeks ago It's nice to not have to deal with those anymore, but when I see pictures of my former home[^], I miss it badly. Nowhere else in my life have I felt completely at home. I don't, however, miss waking at 3 AM to shovel the driveway so that I can get out at 5 AM to make it to the airport for a 6 AM flight, only to have the county snowplows come by at 4:45 AM and bury my drive under a 5' high berm of ice. "If it's Snowbird season, why can't we shoot them?" - Overheard in a bar in Bullhead City

My Blog | My ArticlesSame as you. Except schools are being delayed, and the snow is supposed to stop this afternoon (though given the look of things to the north west, that seems unlikely). It's a balmy 11°F, but i just can't seem to find the energy to go dig out my car and drive to work.

My Blog | My ArticlesBe glad you have snow, here in Belgium (the Flanders) we only know of rain, cold rain, pouring rain and all kinds of rain that can exist (or almost). In the rare cases we do get snow, it's OR melting OR a maximum of 2cm. How I miss the times when I was young, when winter still existed in this country.:^) Oh, another thing we don't know : SUN !! instead we get a bunch of rain:sigh:. My Blog | My ArticlesIts snowing less that usual in Utah. But its been picking up this past week. Snowed yesterday all day. Nothing since last night though. "One of the Georges," said Psmith, "I forget which, once said that a certain number of hours' sleep a day--I cannot recall for the moment how many--made a man something, which for the time being has slipped my memory."

My Blog | My ArticlesYep, I'm about 8 blocks away from you, so I guess your weather is about the same as mine :-D To bad the IDNUG[^]meeting was canceled due to a measly "Storm total snow accumulation of 13 to 16 inches" of snow. One day last week I was across the river, elevated about 600' above the valley and noticed for the first time in years that the desert was green! We may even get some Spring wildflowers this year - right up until it hits 100°F in March. "If it's Snowbird season, why can't we shoot them?" - Overheard in a bar in Bullhead City

I'm glad you're enjoying it. We've had about 5-7 inches so far (I'm guessing since my rain gauge broke). My backyard is pretty low in some spots so it looks like I live on the Bayuo.
