I had three bad experiences on RAC. One was a real moron who we did work for, I still have the IM logs of my conversations with him at least, and some other stuff stored in emails. The other two are both arbitrations, which show the extent to which RAC make it up as they go, and always to the detriment of coders. I have the transcripts on my HDD, I'll do a site that talks in general about why RAC sucks, why using RAC leaves you open to abuse, reports on the three specific things that happened to me, and a guestbook where people can post their own bad experiences, any that are good enough I'll add to the site overall. I think I can make a site that will both be a clear warning, and also be really funny to read. I'll also do a resume section, just to establish my ability both to code and to work remotely ( i.e. to show that it's not my fault ). Something that just occured to me: given that the buyer had access to the client's e-mail could they be the same person? He might have fake client accounts set up to bid highly on his projects to encourage other high bidders (like yourself) who he knows will do a better job than the $5 bidders, with the eventual aim of screwing the real client over as he has done you? Did this other client bid on your last project (or any other project that wasn't the buyers)? Ok... I promise to stop watching these lunchtime conspiracy documentaties. I blame it on Jessica Fletcher. :) :-O

No, the woman who is at the top of this company exists, and the seperate company that does the hosting, etc, also exists. I don't see any reason for her to pretend to be male, and to be subconstracting to herself. Continuing on from yesterday, the guy in question actually hosts hist clients website. He also appears to snoop on their inbox, he intercepted my mail, and posted it to RAC. Apparently, my NDA required that I not make contact with the client. I'm curious now - how is he able to pursue a legal option against me from Canada to Australia ? And how does he have that right, in a world where I can't sue him for using my code without paying for it ? Bebbington, Would have been a few years ago anyways. I worked with Jim and Mike at Horizion Technologies before it went belly up (well i was there when it went belly up) Came up to Sydney with a few of the guys and stayed. Have since contracted in London for a couple of years and now am off to Durban to work in a couple of weeks. (can any of you saffas tell me what a reasonable salary per month is in SA/Durban?) Tassie is great but yes its not enough money (or at least not enough work at resonable rates), its also a bit small/quiet (thats a plus as wel though). I still think about doing 6 months back down there every now and then. Jim will prolly swear when you say hi from me hehe :P

Hmm... never heard of Horizon Technologies. The quiet is a real plus for me. So long as I have a paid job, I don't care how few there are :-) The money is really poor tho.
