          With all due respect. I have never in my life, seen a web site that functions as abysmally as this one. I am seeing transfer rates of around 3.0 KB/sec, or less than a 56Kbps modem. What is the problem? Doesn't the revenue from advertising displayed make it possible to have a site that works?

            Worth1000 has one of the funniest naughty word replacemens lists I've ever seen. Small warning: the page contains all the original naughty words and some of the replacements aren't exactly politically correct. Charlie if(!curlies){ return; }

                We do what we can with the resources available to us and that's often a balancing act where we please some and upset others. Is the information you get any less useful because you are visiting at peak times and it takes a while longer to download? cheers, Chris Maunder

                  You're entitled to your opinion, so fair enough. But, if you feel that you can do better than do so, if not then whining will do nothing constructive. Also, be grateful for the resource you have, creating an extremely popular website is not an easy thing to do. Jeremy Falcon

                      Hmm.... let's see it this way. This guy's been a member for more than 2 years, and has posted 4 messages (that's including today's troll-posts), and he comes up and says in the Lounge that it sucks. It's like having a house owner in your neighborhood who's never home, and suddenly comes to a community meeting and shouting, "You guys suck, this neighborhood is c*ap". Heck, forget the analogies - even if he's entitled to his opinion, we are entitled to ours. :) Vikram.

I don't think it was a troll post. He didn't say anything derogatory about CP itself - he was complaining about the speed of the site. I don't know whether all those of you who chose to flame him immediately are just in denial or whether you are somehow privvy to some faster plumbing than he is (or I am) but I'm plagued with the same abyssmal performance on CP too. (and that when every other site I visit is pushing the envelope of my broadband connection) Maybe a simple explantion instead of knee-jerk flame-fest on anyone with the audacity to point out a very real problem (for some) with your beloved neighborhood would have been more appropriate.
