My girlfriend and I are going to Chicago this coming Thursday and we will be there through Sunday. Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do and see? We've been there before and will be staying down near Michigan Ave. I'd love to go see Wrigley field however I don't believe they are open yet for tours this early in the year. Any suggestions?

The Shedd aquarium http://www.sheddaquarium.org[^] and the Field Museum http://www.fieldmuseum.org[^] if you're into that sort of thing. It's going to be too cold to do much outside...

I lived there for more than 10 years, pretty much grew up there. First of all, I question your sanity visiting Chicago during the winter. ;-) Some fun things I remember doing: Wrigley Field is just great. Seeing the lovable losers lose to some better NL team is one of the simple pleasures indescribable. :-) There's a really cool exhibit + war museum + park + gardens place called Cantigny Park. For the girl there's huge gardens, fields of flowers, ponds with cool fish, all sorts of odd plants and flowers, all scattered along a walking path. For the guy, there's military tanks everywhere (exluding in the gardens of course), they let you climb on them, hang on the guns, all sorts of fun stuff. Plus an interactive war museum where you walk inside WWII trenches, listen to radio operators, tons of fun stuff. And of course: watching Da Bears lose to my Vikings: wonderful experience. Rubbing in the victory to my Bear fan friends: priceless. :-)

Tech, life, family, faith: Give me a visit. I'm currently blogging about: He has a funny face. And he's my son. Judah Himango
