I'm off to bed soon. I am unbelievably tired. I only managed 2 hours sleep last night and I really don't know how. I went to bed last night so tired that I couldn't sleep. It sounds crazy but I was just overtired that I lay in bed trying to get to sleep but utterly failing. I'm tired of other things too (and I'm hoping this is just the general tiredness that I feel right now). I'm tired of people who I help in the programming forums that treat me like their personal support officer. I'm tired of those who plead and beg for assistance when I either don't know the answer or I don't at that moment have the time to answer. I'm tired of those who pull guilt trips to illicit assistance - If it is so damned urgent take out a support call with Microsoft. I'm tired of being told that I "have to" answer or "must" help. I help by choice in my free time because I want to give something back to the community. I'm so tired....

Go to they gym, that helps me when I can't sleep. 1. It's too easy to get into a vicous cycle of not being able to sleep 2. Let those in the programming forums make a bit more of an effort. Some of the questions I see in there are ridiculous and make it harder for the worthwhile questions to get answered. Elaine  The tigress is here :-D

Yeah, I´ve seen threads with titles like "Coling Angus Mackay please help me!". I think they see all that you've helped others and want your help also. Don't be bothered by that, just keep answering those questions you know the answer as you normally would. You're in no way obligated to answer (ok, only my questions in the SQL forum :-D). But seriously, many of us really appreciate your help in th forums, so don't be discouraged by a few people. Keep it up! :) -- LuisR

Sounds familiar. Back during my undergraduate days, I had one quarter where I did two 40+ hour days in a two week period. I was taking two software classes, an engineering lab class, and I had an independent study course. On top of that, I was taking philosophy 101 as a general education requirement from a pr*ck who hated engineering students. Completely insane.

:-D I remember those days well. Does the Commons still stay open 24 hours all during finals week, and serve coffee and donuts all night? That was a godsend, as I couldn't go home - no gas available in Orange County. Thank goodness I didn't crash the car once I did get fuel, though... Someone else did that for me a week after.:sigh: "If it's Snowbird season, why can't we shoot them?" - Overheard in a bar in Bullhead City

That's nothing -- I once stayed up 48 hours straight programming almost the entire time -- a massive Perl script to format data tables into a 180-page LaTeX book - for my PhD research - ack -- ~344 iterations total...then I promptly totaled my little Honda driving back to get some sleep... X| Sincerely Yours, Brian Hart Department of Physics and Astronomy University of California, Irvine

Is that for daylight savings time? I think they do that in late April around here (it usually seems to coincide with the start of baseball season)
