Free version control systems with good VC.NET IDE integration
-
Hi, are there any recommendations für version control systems (freeware, open source) to use with VC.NET 2003, which are highly integrated into the IDE? I've learned something about WinCVS, but it seems to be more a standalone tool. TIA M.

I use Subversion with TortoiseSVN. It's not integrated into Visual Studio but it's great. I think there's a plugin for VS called AnkhSVN to work with subversion but I'm not sure how well it works. I've used CVS in the past with TortoiseCVS without problems but we've switched to Subversion now.

agreed about SubVersion, I just hope our IT guys approve TortoiseSVN for our team ... we are still using it from a cygwin shell.

I use AnkhSVN and it's integration to the IDE is excellent, definitely better then VSS.
