Our company got hit with this problem last Friday. Nearly took out half of our computer systems. http://www.trendmicro.com/en/support/pattern594/overview.htm[^] Anybody else find it funny that this anti-virus software is more dangerous than many viruses? :P Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

Due to an isolated anomaly in the engineering, development and pattern release process ... In other words, it was caused by problems in design (engineering), coding (development), and QA (release process). How can it still be called an "isolated anomaly"?

Too true :-) I was always very reluctant to let my ex use my PC after I saw her using Hotmail one time and she was automatically opening EVERY SINGLE FREAKING attachment she had received. When I said "um, could you maybe not do that please" she started berating me with "They're from people I know! So-and-so would never send me a virus!"

Precisely why my girlfriend wife uses a separate computer that’s isolated from my network. Amen to that, brother...

That's the point when I hurriedly sneak out of the room and trip the mains power breaker. All of a sudden her user account doesn't work anymore... ;)
