I would recommend here, NM has any excuse for a party... we celebrate Mexican and American holidays, but in a few months any place on Earth will be cooler.... including the interior of Mt Vesuvius. :) _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Try India - it's very cheap here - though the living-conditions here might seem a little weird to you - quite different from western life. If you pick a South Indian location, you can even touch Trivandrum for a day or two and I can take you around the place :-) Nish

Hi Colin, Have you ever been to Viet Nam? You know that an increasing number of visitors recently choose Viet Nam as their new destination, there are a lot of places where you can go, and I'd recommend you to visit the Ha Long Bay[^] and Hoi An[^] ancient town. I got a friend working at Victoria Resort in Hoi An, he is willing to help you if you need. You can also check out this link[^].

Minnesota. Pies, cheese curds, apples, plenty of lakes and rivers to relax along, and while the natives aren't exactly "friendly" as such, they're mostly all passive-aggressives, and so they'll appear friendly unless you spend the time to learn the language.

May I recommend Bullhead City, AZ, in August or September? Lauren and PJ found it most attractive then, respectively. I have no idea why, but I respect the opinions of our peers. Scotland - I know you've been already so you might want to try something new, in which case you might like Spain in early October (its cooled down from the summer heat, but still warm enough for shorts and T-shirt).

We had a great and very affordable holiday in Sabah, Borneo last Nov. Stayed in a great resort on the ocean with free broadband internet access.:-D Lots of interesting things to do and very genuinely friendly people. It was an easy trip from Australia. Bear with me here... In the next month or so spring will have completed the transformation of the Exe Valley, of which Tiverton sits bang in the middle, into some of the most beautiful space on Earth. You don't have to stay in Tiverton town itself, there are plenty of places with nice hotels along the valley (Bickleigh is very pretty). If you could time your 10 days to not hit any major weather fronts you'd get to experience England as it's meant to be on olde postcards. You shouldn't get bored, just remember to breathe out as it is all too easy to find yourself holding your breath in awe. :)
