I really enjoyed Singapore, although I only had a day or two where I wasn't conferencing, what I saw was really nice. Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++

Try Pakistan if you love mountains and lakes and snow etc. Northern Areas of Pakistan are really very rich in scenic beauty. "I would luv to change the world, but they wont give me the source code" :( My Articles

Winter in Oz? Does it exist? Last time I was in Oz, I crossed the Tropic of Capricorn on Dec 22 and at noon, I couldn't see my shadow!

May I recommend Bullhead City, AZ, in August or September? Lauren and PJ found it most attractive then, respectively. I have no idea why, but I respect the opinions of our peers. Perhaps it was because there was no need to pack a sweater... they're quite bulky, you know.;) Boredom, Bull$^%&, Baggage, Bar - all start with 'B'

Scotland - I know you've been already so you might want to try something new, in which case you might like Spain in early October (its cooled down from the summer heat, but still warm enough for shorts and T-shirt).

What about Croatia? It looks quite lovely, and AFAIK is not too expensive. I plan to visit someday. Some photos[^]. Edit: Er, this was supposed to be a response to Colin's post. I accidentally clicked "Reply" in the wrong post.

Hello. Since I just came back from three weeks in NZ, I can only recommend you come to Spain. It's a pity that you will need three of your 10 days just to come and go back. ;P

Bear with me here... In the next month or so spring will have completed the transformation of the Exe Valley, of which Tiverton sits bang in the middle, into some of the most beautiful space on Earth. You don't have to stay in Tiverton town itself, there are plenty of places with nice hotels along the valley (Bickleigh is very pretty). If you could time your 10 days to not hit any major weather fronts you'd get to experience England as it's meant to be on olde postcards. You shouldn't get bored, just remember to breathe out as it is all too easy to find yourself holding your breath in awe. :)

We had a great and very affordable holiday in Sabah, Borneo last Nov. Stayed in a great resort on the ocean with free broadband internet access.:-D Lots of interesting things to do and very genuinely friendly people. It was an easy trip from Australia. Greece. Seriously mate, Greece is fantastic. Get a backpack, some walking shoes, a sleeping bag (no tent needed) and a flight into Athens. Arrive in Athens then go to Piraeus, the ferry port, and book the first ferry out. Doesn't matter where it goes. I went to the Cyclaedes and loved it. Santorini is 100% recommended, don't miss it. Naxos is decent. Paros is lovely and quiet. Ios is mad. Scotland is also lovely, but Greece stole my heart. South Africa is another good place, though it is winter here (same hemi as you mate) at the moment. Greece, Greece, Greece. I would go back tomorrow. I would live there if I could. regards, Paul Watson South Africa PMW Photography Gary Wheeler wrote: It's people like you that keep me heading for my big debut on CNN...
