I'm proud of my self, if I build good application in a short time. Time is money.

... do you spent sitting in front of a computer? After my normal 8+ hours of work and an additional of 3 hours at home, it totals up to almost 12 hours infront of a computer!:omg: Aren't our work nature a bit hazardous? :sigh: There should be some law which allows people to be entitled with more medical benefits and services if their job nature is somehow unhealthy. :| Weiye Chen Life is hard, yet we are made of flesh...

minimum 9 hours for work, sometimes also at home and/or in the weekends. 2 weeks ago deadline => 13 hours straight :~ . this is always counted without breaks, eating behind the cpu X| . And then they dare say 'We see a lack in motivation' :wtf: No hurries, no worries.

Somewhere between 40-45 hours per week, including work and home.

                        weekdays : 9-10 at work + 3-6 at home = 12-16 / day weekends/holidays : 2-12 at home (depending on whether I go out or not)

I'm neither proud of nor ashamed of the amount of time I spend at the computer. It's like asking a truck driver how proud he is of the time he spends driving. BW

As long as you are productive for 50+ hrs. and don't feel you are missing out on other aspects of life that's fine. Just remember that, on their death bed, people generally do not say "Gee, I really wish I'd spent more time at work". ;) BW

I think it's a-moral for companies and management to take advantage of employee by way of promoting a culture of putting in lots of overtime - legal, but amoral. But, for my regional manager, I think he's a good man with integrity, I don't mind putting in extra effort. Norman Fung
