I´ve been quite sleepless in the last weeks... dont´t know if I´ve drinked too much coffee (or chimarrão). Fact is... i can´t sleep well. Does anyone have the same problem ? Does anyone have a solution (drugs not accepted) ? Mauricio Ritter Brazil Sonorking now: 100.13560 Trank

Mauricio, Are you stressed out about anything? I've experienced sleepless nights caused by job and family stresses, even though I'm tired at the end of the day. If you drink more than 2 cups of coffee a day, you might want to try cutting down for a while and see if that helps. (I'm not a doctor and don't play one on forums). /ravi "There is always one more bug..." ravib@ravib.com http://www.ravib.com

I've found that talking about my problems to friends really helps, even though they're in no position to actually fix the problem. I don't need sympathy, just someone to talk to. /ravi /ravi "There is always one more bug..." ravib@ravib.com http://www.ravib.com

I've been having the same problems. I've suffered from stress-related illnesses in the past, so i'm easily affected by stress. Little things such as an overdue library book will keep me awake. I'm constantly worrying about something, it's really a bugger to deal with. If it's only for the past weeks, try and locate the source of what's causing the problem and work against it. If it continues and is affecting your work, I would recommend pills with the advice of your doctor (sorry) :) Simon C++: Only friends can see your private parts. Sonork ID 100.10024

I know just what you mean, and believe it or not the cause could be a lack of sleep! I once pulled off 36 consecutive waking hours, and was unable to get a decent nights sleep for many nights afterwards until I got back into my regular pattern again. I guess my body was thinking that you must be awake for some important-to-your-survival reason, so does it's best to helpfully delay sleep. Even if that isn't the cause, the solution is really quite simple. Whenever I have had difficulty getting to sleep - even on those extremely rare occasions when it is too humid to even breath comfortably - drinking warm milk was the way to go. Warmth helps you to feel tired (that's why we wash with cold water in the morning to wake up), and milk has some kind of sedative properties. If like me you cannot drink neat milk because of the taste, try a hot chocolate. Don't use anything like a cupasoup (or you will be pissing all night - thus keeping you awake) and don't use coffee (it's obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people don't make the connection!) For some reason the water in milk takes longer to filter into your urine so you wont be up all night in the bathroom, but be prepared for a long and enjoyable "flow" in the morning... ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "DON'T MOVE! Cut out the caffeine after 4pm, don't eat a large meal before you go to sleep, get plenty of exercise (go for a walk for 30-60 mins after dinner). cheers, Chris Maunder

I used to think too much when I was going to sleep. I'd find myself lying there thinking about everything and nothing all at the same time. I would toss and turn until the wee morning hours. I find that if I veg out, completely relax, and clear my mind of everything, I never have any problems falling alseep. So relax, don't think about anything (don't even think about not thinking about anything), and enjoy your rest. :) Works for me. I can only hope it works for you. Jon Sagara What about :bob:?

What David Wulff means is that whenever he is stressed out, he goes to his wife or girlfriend and uses their bodies for sexual release, thereby giving him a state of relaxation and comfort. He is also recommending that everyone else have the same types of relationships with women as he does, i.e., merely using the female form as a stress reliever or a human toilet. The part where you wrote "a box of tissue or a willing partner" was quite demeaning to women. I really can't blame you for that comment because the UK is clearly not training it's citizens and residents about the modern world of equality among the sexes. I  Microsoft and :bob:

I repeat: what part of that statement was chauvinistic, and what part mentioned women? I agree completely with your stance on equality, though find your attack on the British schooling system slightly baffling, however it bears no relavence to my post. ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "DON'T MOVE! I think you know very well what I mean, though I don't know the Brazilian term offhand. Maybe someone could translate for me? ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "DON'T MOVE!
