cute! Honestly, you guys are acting like a bunch of old-farts. Do you really need/want to act like a gaggle of message-board-nazi's??? Really, I don't see the need for getting bent out of shape about it. It won't do you nor anyone else any good. Get a life. If you don't like the question, ignore it. Life is much better when we're nice to ourselves. Being mean to others, is being self-abusive. This message is meant especially for Tom Archer

Your post did make me smile. I don't mind it when someone simply directs the errant poster to the correct forum. I do care when they're mean and nasty.

Obviously, the bold red text is of little use. :sigh: Any suggestions as to how we can further reduce the number of programming questions? I have one - before a new thread is addded to the forum, check if it has { and }. If it does, tell the poster it looks like a programming question, and ask him if it is. If he says Yes, redirect him to the message boards. If not, continue with the posting operation. Checking for braces might not spot all programming questions, but it will certainly spot a fair chunk of them. :~ I don't want someone with a twisted sense of loyalty flaming me for this, so let me say Chris is doing a great job, I'm merely asking for suggestions as to how it can be improved. :) Cheers, Vikram.

-Why bother sifting questions? People have fun bugging people who put programming questions in the lounge. -Pop-up windows would be very annoying for regular posters.
