I was in my profile updating some stuff and I happened to glance up at the number of members here on CP to see the count sitting at 2,066,577 My first reaction was :omg: the last time I actually remember reading/seeing something about member count, it had just hit 1 million. When I signed up, I was member No. 15378 and I thought that was a high count at the time. I have to admit, I am amazed at the number of members here on CP and just how far it has come. One can only imagine what it must be like to control the website that has influence over that many people ... right Chris? It's hard to believe that the success of this site is real. When I joined I was really bailing out of CodeGuru because it had become irrelevant to me. I wasn't a programmer (and I'm still not), but once in a while I had a need to write an app for a customer. The grass seemed greener on the CP side of the fence, so I jumped. I'm glad I did, as here I have met the only peers I've had in my life in over a decade. Even though programming is not my life, the thoughts and feelings of people who do program for a living resonate with my own very nicely, and I feel at home here. The folks here are my friends and family, and I can never thank Chris, et al, enough for creating this amazing presence on the web. It has been since its inception, and remains, unique in the world, and I'm proud to be a member. :-D "...putting all your eggs in one basket along with your bowling ball and gym clothes only gets you scrambled eggs and an extra laundry day... To top it off, CP works nearly the same in Firefox as IE thanks to Jorgen for submitting the Forum scripts to Chris and Shog9 for writing a GreaseMonkey script to make it even better.
