Now I am not so sure about MS intent towards Visual C++. I just found the requirements for the MCSD.Net certification and it's either VB.Net or C#. Not a single exam aimed at C++. And they have a new level MCAD (MS Cert Application Developer). 1 test less than MCSD. .Net only http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/mcp/mcsd/requirementsdotnet.asp Phil Boyd MCP CPT, AR Sonork 100.10062 You may be gone, but we will never forget your sacrifice. No shock there - Microsoft is simply trying to keep everyone within their technology camp (VB & C#). C++ is cross platform, so why support it?

That would put a lie to the interview with Mr. Lippman. I gathered that it was his intent and his belief that VC++ was the premier .Net language and would continue to be so. I guess I'll pass on my attempt to get MCSD. I don't do MFC anyway except to study for the exams. I'm strictly STL. It may be his intent and belief, but not Microsoft's. More than likely Stanley is not let in everything that is really going on over there. And in any case, get back to MFC you heathen! MFC rulez d00d! STL sukz! :-D
