Paul Watson wrote: Any idea where your family got its name? I have never seen Quick as a surname before. The family name was originally Dutch. But when my Dutch ancestors came to America, it was changed to "Quick". None of my immediate family members know what the name was originally, but I assume it had too many accent marks and funny symbols than US customs (or whomever) wanted to deal with. So, yeah, it should be a rare name.
