cups of coffee (or tea, JoltCola, whatever) do you drink a day? I just had a meeting with a client and he told me he used to drink 10-15 cups of coffee a day :~ until he switched to green tea. And I thought 2 cups a day is already bad enough. Ed
I used to do about 10 cups of coffee and 20 cups of tea a day. Cut it down now, 4 coffee, 10 tea. regards, Paul Watson South Africa Colib and WebTwoZero. K(arl) wrote: oh, and BTW, CHRISTIAN ISN'T A PARADOX, HE IS A TASMANIAN!

Now I drink coke occasionally(about 2 times a week) and I drink herb tea 2-3 times a day. Herb tea is very healthy. I feel much better now without drinkin' coffee. 3-4 cans of Pepsi Max, it's sugar free but with taste unlike lots of diet colas. Elaine (excessively alert fluffy tigress) The tigress is here :-D

Couple cups of coffee and black tea. I believe that 10-15 cups of coffee a day will blow any mind off. Have you noticed anything strange in your client ? Or it was completely rehabilitated with green-tea therapy ? ;) Best regards, ----------- Igor Sukhov (Brainbench/Tekmetrics ID:50759) igor@sukhov.net | ICQ:57404554 | http://sukhov.net

I used to drink about 4 cups of regular coffee per day, but have switched to 1 cup regular, and the rest decaf. Occasionally, I might have another cup after dinner, or a cup of green or red tea at night. I haven't missed the extra caffiene a single bit. BW

generally 1 coffee and 1 - 2 tea per day... so I don't think I'm breaking any records around here.

Me too. I used to drink coke, not coffee, previously. Now my daily fluid intake consists of about 4-5 litres of water with the occasional orange juice.

I drink an entire pot of coffee each day, which corresponds to four 12 ounce cups. This isn't all that much in the way of caffeine, however. My recipe is one scoop of caffeinated plus four scoops of decaf. The entire pot gets carried to work in my trusty Stanley[^] half gallon thermos. Buying coffee at work is expensive, in the quantities I drink, plus the coffee here is pretty foul.

Exercise is great... but if the sleep apnea is often, then the best bet is a CPAP machine. If you find a good mask, you barely notice it. Although NM has a very small population, I set the state record in apnea/hypopnea events in a single night when I had my sleep study. After a CPAP no problems. However I still dream of caffiene IV's. The caffeine only covers up the apnea tiredness, you are still suffocating in your sleep. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. I may have joked about the "get a rope" from the old el paso commercials in the bob coffee mug thread, but I have given up caffeine as many times as my grandfather "gave up" smoking. Man, you guys are motivating me to give up my morning cup of coffee. I drink a lot of water during the day, but still I shouldn't be even having one cup. Keep it up. Jeremy Falcon

I am down sharply from my past. I have about four cups of coffee a day, two to eight cups of diet soda, and two or more cups of chai or green tea, on a bad day I'll have two diet red bulls or a single can of diet no-fear ("we didn't take out the sugar, it got scared and ran away"). I have still been known to order my personal favorite drink once a month. Large White Knight Mocha (that's white chocolate mocha with vanilla), with two extra shots of espresso. The coffee house already has 4 shots in a large. Not quite as good as a caffeine IV, but darn near. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Rex wrote: I have sleep apnea I just read about sleep apnea. How does drinking caffeine help in preventing cessation of breathing during sleep? And do you feel very tired when waking up in the morning? Ed
I should have qualified better for both you and Jeffrey. Apnea is something I have had since I was a child. Didn't know it until 1999. I had several sleep studies done and I have a rare form that is neuro not obstructive. I've had a CPAP since 1999 and would kill anyone who tried to take it. With apnea (even with a CPAP) your sleep quality sucks. So you are always dragging your tired @$$. Caffeine beats off the tired feeling so you can concentrate. I don't feel as tired as I used to but (exercise is wondeful) I still don't wake up feeling like SPARKY the wonder boy. I don't feel bad either. I used to wake up feeling totally exhausted and my legs ached. I would wake up covered in sweat and just feeling like crap all through the night. CPAP really helps. :) So caffeine is purely an alertness aid. CPAP handles the breathing issues.
