I thought out two answers: 1. To have fun 2. To get knowledge (usually in programming) I like the first. But at the same time I do the second. Isn't programming the best thing in the world? Niklas Ulvinge aka IDK

I thought code without purpose is what VB coders wrote... (Yup. I just made a disparaging VB joke. Pigs do fly.) regards, Paul Watson South Africa Colib and WebTwoZero. K(arl) wrote: oh, and BTW, CHRISTIAN ISN'T A PARADOX, HE IS A TASMANIAN!

That was a corallary to my post, but for the sake of brevity and the "ba-da-boom" reaction, I decided to leave it off, knowing that someone else would come up with it. It's helps keep VB programmers occupied, searching for deep meanings... "...a photo album is like Life, but flat and stuck to pages." - Shog9

Not really deep - just a run-of-the-mill paradox. There is of course no such thing. Not "no such thing" as "code that doesn't have a purpose" we've all seen plenty of that, but "no such thing" as "the purpose of code that doesn't have a purpose" Steve T
