Need a watch

After 14 years my watch has suddenly died on me. I loved my watch dearly and now I'm watchless.:(( The issue is that I like watches that are not just watches, but have other functionality too: 1. It has to have scheduler 2. Calculator 3. Show the date 4. Not to look as a plastic toy.(preferably silver casing) My watch was of Casio databank silver casing watches. It seems that they do not manufacture this type anymore. Any suggestions where I could get a similar watch?

Casio still carries calendar watches, I don't buy them (I buy G-shock, the only ones that live long enough with me), so I don't know if you are saying the ones they still sell all look plastic or no longer have a scheduler function separate from the calendar? OK...I guess the Timex guy has to chime in here. We actually have a really great watch called the Data Link. The latest version has a USB connection to the PC. It includes software (that I :cough: wrote) that lets you add whatever modes into the watch that you want. It's not metal, but you can get one with a metal band with rubber inlays. Wal-Mart[^]sells it. You can also buy it online from Timex (we have more of the styles available). Here are a couple of styles: Metal band #1[^] Metal Band #2[^] The cool thing about the watch is that we made the development tools available to the public, which allows you and others to create your own applications. There is a Yahoo group with over 3000 members devoted to this customization. See it here[^]. There is also a new developer group where all the assembly languages questions are answered. You can find that group here[^]. In my opinion, this is by far a superior product to the Databank watches. [Edit] I should also mention that the software can get Appointments, Contacts and Notes from Outlook, as well as download iCal schedules. To me? no winding, no batteries, just works... Of course none of that is your department. :-D My last ironman lasted exactly two weeks. I broke a corner pin on day 9, by day 11 I broke the second, by day 13 I broke all corner pins holding the face down and the watch fell apart. You probably won't have a problem anymore. The corner pins or nuts are fake. The case is a single piece of molded plastic with the metal backing screwed in by metal screws. hmmmm... maybe I need to try again.... I like some of the new watches, but now when I see an external screw/pin, I move on to the next watch. I am more than a little rough on 'em. But you should see the other guy.... :laugh: I have half-feeling in my left hand/wrist, so I tend to not notice how much damage I do to the watch, walls, equipment... buildings... boulders. :) Yes, I tried moving the watch to my right hand to save the watch, but then I just damage my arm... better the watch than bones. ;) _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau.
