Suppose to...

...wake up one morning and discover that VS 2005 Beta 2 does not load any more because of the .NET Framework 2.0 official release or maybe for a new patch got via Windows update. What would you do? Try to uninstall it: problems. Try to buy a single licence: not yet available, only MSDN subscription... Try to download a 90days trial: not yet available. How can I work on my project tomorrow? Thanks, Alberto Bencivenni devDept Development Team Leader Structural Optimization | Finite Element Method | Computer Graphics

I'd probably go for option D. Download an express version of the product. :)
Picture a huge catholic cathedral. In it there's many people, including a gregorian monk choir. You know, those who sing beautifully. Then they start singing, in latin, as they always do: "Ad hominem..." -Jörgen Sigvardsson

Try to work with another IDE for the moment. Use an Express edition or try SharpDevelop 2.0[^]. And if you want it really simple, you can always use Notepad and invoke MSBuild on the command line ;) By the way, does someone know more IDEs that can edit VS05 projects?

I'm not sure it will fit to my needs... And to try, I need to remove my VS 2005 installation... :(( I thought about it... Is there somewhere a detailed Compare Editions page? If you're running Windows XP, try to run System Restore... I don't see dead pixels anymore... Yes, even I am blogging now!
