Here it comes!

Statistically speaking, US is the most polluting country in the world, producing 25% of the pollution alone, and it is not even the most populated. http://www.guardian.co.uk/climatechange/story/0,12374,1644199,00.html[^] http://www.hindu.com/2005/11/18/stories/2005111803861100.htm[^] Just 2 links. Big cities in Asia are among the most polluted in the world, but they don't contribute to global warming as much as the USA. Think about it: 5% of the population producing 25% of the greenhouse effect gas in the world. That is a lot. -------- "I say no to drugs, but they don't listen." - Marilyn Manson

No, I was pointing out how your statement do not hold much weight because of your bias. You give yourself too much credit. I'm in the very rich country of the US making a lot of money, you have to do a lot more than that to get me upset.

Good, now, when you have an open mind, and can get a grip on your own green bias against the US, maybe a open debate will be enjoyable between both parties.

Wasn't the Kyoto Treaty giving the Asian countries a pass though due to being "developing nations"? BW

:wtf::wtf: um..where did I say a bias statement? You were better off speachless.
You told me that I was not open minded, and you replied by saying I was biased. Could you explain? If not, stop replying and go away. -------- "I say no to drugs, but they don't listen." - Marilyn Manson

Exactly why everyone wants to move over there :-) Right now, most Indian teenagers studying Computer Science want to move to the US. Cause of all the wealth out there :-)

I'd be happy to. your quote:"Partly agree. It may be that the US used that excuse only to appear to have a good reason not to sign the agreement." Ok, when the US said that the Kyoto agreement was unfair to US workers, you blew it off as it was just an excuse. "It may be that the US used that excuse only to appear to have a good reason not to sign the agreement." Why would the US not sign it without a good reason??? Does the US just want to piss you off just because? A person can only have slanted reasoning if they are biased or completly insane. I guessing that you are sane, so you must be biased.

there is no real way of knowing why the US didn't sign on because to do so requires the approval of a majority of the US Senate and neither Clinton nor Bush were willing to submit it for approval because they both felt, but didn't know it wouldn't be ratified. Ok, I am not going to flame you. I am asking most sincerly. What evidence do you have to doubt this? Is it just a gut feeling? And yes, you do have a right to your opinion. But others also have a right to challege it.

In fact, this was my opinion, and an opinion is always biased. ISn't it? I challenge you (a friendly challenge) to show me actions (concrete actions) the US is taking to fight the pollution. Could you? -------- "I say no to drugs, but they don't listen." - Marilyn Manson

There is probably a whole bunch of reasons why the US does not want to sign the Treaty, but the current administration is not known to be willing to make an effort to fight pollution, in fact, Bush has been denying global warming (he may have changed his mind since then, though). -------- "I say no to drugs, but they don't listen." - Marilyn Manson
