This one paints a pathetic picture :-) I submitted a new article on Winsock, and 15 seconds later, I hit [preview the article] in step-5 of the submission wizard, only to find that it's been rated 1. The number of views said 4. Thus 3 others must have viewed it. 15 seconds! Now I am not pissed at all. But I wonder why Chris M still maintains this useless rating feature. I fully understand that, the article might not deserve a 5 or even a 4. But it surely is better than 1! Others' views are invited.

Good thread, Christian. Thanks for helping to keep me sane all night... Enjoy the DSL - welcome to the world of real-time communications! It still amazes me to think that I can spend my time chatting with the high-quality gents and ladies of CP, scattered as we are around the globe, with but moments of latency. It wasn't but two or three generations ago that a single 'post' would have taken several years to reach all of us... if ever. We live in an amazing age! A newbie's elementary guide to spawning salmon

It's part of a system that will be behind a firewall, basically there's a button that calls the replicate method and stores results in the registry, and one that reads those results and returns them as an array, then displays the result. Hardly earth shattering, but it's a start. When I lived with 12 other people, we all just pitched in and paid US $120/month for an SDSL line. Worked beautifully! And since it was a business class line, we got business-class (i.e., same or next day on-site) support. Ah, I miss that place. :) But I can't say that cable is all that bad. Aside from the connection dropping every now and then, the download speeds are actually faster because it's not capped. Jon Sagara What about :bob:? Sonork ID: 100.9999 jonsagara
