That's so mean! How can people be so inconsiderate? Rental stores should have their own DVD re-winders instead of asking poor customers to do the rewinding on their own. Don't go there again, Chris - they are nasty folks!

When DVD was new, and when I returned my first rented DVD, I told the clerk jokingly that I had forgotten to rewind it, and asked if it was ok. She was about to give charge me a small fine, as she suddenly looked up at me from the cash register and smiled. Mmm, yes. Colloquial English, now there's a challenge. It's not very hard to pick up phrases here and there. The big problem is to apply it at the right time, with the right tone of voice, otherwise it sounds just wrong. But I suppose that's the case with any non-native language. Hey, I just discovered a little bug in the CPHog script. For some reason, quick modify doesn't work for me. It says the modifications were sent, but when I refresh, no modifications were done. -- Pictures[^] from my Japan trip.

Try refreshing again. That's usually what I have to do.

When I worked in Amsterdam I sent an email to my team leader asking a question and got "I am a fraid knot" as the responce.

In fact, I had the same problem a couple of days back. I *did* refresh, but it still wasn't there. I finally had to use the regular modify feature and do it the old way. Cheers, Vikram.

I had that same thought a couple of years ago when we made the switch to DVD. But I soon realized that underneath was a little chip that would cause the alarms to go off if someone tried to walk out the store without paying.
