I agree with Dan, for all the same reasons. I lost power during hurricane Beryl which drained the UPS batteries. The only thing critical was WIFI access. My laptop and it's battery system did most of the heavy lifting for internet access via a computer. Used my Jackery battery and small battery bricks for small TV and phones. Unfortunately the corporate IT gestapo gives me a load of crap every time I want to use third-party software. For open source / freeware I just use it and beg forgiveness if I get caught. This is what happened when they discovered I was using Inno Setup. They wanted me to stop using it, but by that time it had been used for all of our products for years. Purchased software is a PITA because they evaluate it, don't like it, and then offer an alternative that doesn't do what I need. For this reason, I usually roll my own for this sort of thing. Yes, yes and YES. I've got 6 of the little critters - two from my sister and 2 each from my Darling's sisters. Currently driving 2 of them home from (a special) school every day and really enjoying the time we spend together. Started with the 12 year old about a 15 months ago and his 14 year old brother about a school term ago. I just can't stop pinching myself at how much the younger has improved in that time. Went from being a self-centered, psychopathic little shyte into a respectful, empathetic little boy. Their parents seem not to have had the energy to devote to them that I have and it seems everyone is benefitting from my input. Different sorts of problems to solve than when I was coding all the time, but I wouldn't give it up for the world. We've all grown and become better versions of ourselves. The others are 5 & 7, and 17 & 19. It's been interesting to see how I relate best to the middle pair. There seems to be an inverse relationship between how I relate to the parents and how I get along with the kids - absolutely fascinating. As far as I'm concerned, the oldest 4 are all simply inexperienced adults. Treating them as such seems to give me an edge. Happy days. :-D

It uses some code from Freetype, and my license documentation will reflect that. I'm actually pouring over all the code to convert it to C++ and do things like integrate it such that it uses my bitmap class instead of its own - that sort of thing, so I'm pretty familiar with where the codebase comes from. And I've worked with FreeType before and am familiar with it, which is why I made TinyTTF - and contributed that to LVGL as it runs in more places. That said, the freetype bits used in pluto isn't very heavy - just typedefs and rasterization algorithms.
