That definitely sounds like a good idea. Personally, I like having my CP message board serve as my blog because I basically live here (look at my posting rate ;)), so I can't justify maintaining a blog elsewhere on the multitude of sites. Someday - should I ever get a DeLorean so I can essentially increase the hours in a day - when I create a personal site, I may have one for family stuff, but I definitel prefer CP for my technical blog for the reason I stated.

Actually, that's a good point. If I start keeping a blog, I might think about putting it on my CP profile. Maybe the best thing to do is let people point it elsewhere if they've already got an active blog there, but default to pointing to the bottom of their profile. I dunno-- I keep turning it over, and it seems kind of silly to have a link always point two or three inches further down on the same page. I could see the value of it even more if there were links elsewhere on the site to the person's blog if it were active. I agree that the RSS stuff is necessary for that section to be more blog-like. I think that it would be nice if the formatting of that section were changed to look more bloggish, and maybe if someone could maybe customize the look and feel of the section. All of a sudden I see "View Member's Blog" on profile pages. Definitely a cool start (although I can't seem to set the message view to something else other than "Topic View", which is definitely an interesting look). I can only assume that RSS feeds are following shortly behind?

I'm more interested in Topic View! It's working fine in the blogs (which were always there btw, they just weren't called "blogs"). But when I pick it in the Lounge, the posters' names aren't visible. :( Other than that little hiccup, I think it's sweet. --Mike-- Personal stuff:: Ericahist | Homepage Shareware stuff:: 1ClickPicGrabber | RightClick-Encrypt CP stuff:: CP SearchBar v2.0.2 | C++ Forum FAQ ---- Four fonts walk into a bar. I know the message board was always there and was a "blog", I just usually associate that with RSS.

Actually, I haven't been active for a while. You can thank the NDoc team (the core members - like 3 people or so - have been busy lately) at http://ndoc.sf.net[^].
