Anyone have any ideas how to improve your concentration. For the past week and a half I have had the attention span of a goldfish and desperately need to regain the ability to concentrate before my boss comes back from holiday and notices how little work I've done. If I had a better memory I would remember more.

Better living through chemistry: DMAE Take any claims made for any unregulated substance with a grain of salt. I've tried this myself, and it decreased my need for sleep quite a bit, and did expand my memory somewhat; I was able to memorize twenty-long random strings of characters immediately, something I can't normally do. Many people report an increase in attention span, but to that I can't attest because my attention span is really long anyway. A friend also tried it, and we both had the feeling that ideas just bubbled up endlessly, at a very fast pace, while we were on the stuff (he still is). In my case, it made me very talkative. I quit taking it after a while because I only did it as an experiment in the first place, and it made me sort of jittery, like I'd had too much coffee (over and above the three pots I normally drink in a day). Do NOT take this stuff if you have bipolar disorder or are depressed, or are taking any sort of medicine that mucks with your brain chemistry, especially with the production of neurotransmitters. From what I understand, DMAE acts as a precursor to choline, which is a precursor itself to acetylcholine, a pretty major neurotransmitter. Regards, Jeff Varszegi

Wow, that is impressive, but you've got a way to go, young grasshoppa. Even now, without the DMAE-given boost, I ancay illstay cryptenyay inyay igpay atinlay. And that's just off the top of my head. Regards, Jeff Varszegi

The trick is to use one-way-encryption algo Jabo!(R) (ie. you can't decrypt what you've encrypted)! now you have the power to encrypt anything on the fly :) Norman Fung

Thanks for the many suggestions. Think my problem is part lack of sleep, part not quite knowing what I'm doing. Perhaps after a good nights sleep things will be clearer. If I had a better memory I would remember more.

One thing that might help is getting sufficient rest the night before. Also, little meditation in the morning can help. Pankaj Without struggle, there is no progress

How about a framed photograph of your boss on your table? That might work! Smitha Every problem has a gift for you in its hands. -- Richard Bach
