SVN versions prior to 1.0.4 have a date formating exploit that is fixed in 1.0.4. So get the latest version of SVN. Also, TortiseSVN is an SVN client so it doesn't have the exploit, just the server.

If it's only for yourself, you can use SourceGear Vault (a commercial tool) free of charge. Its the slowest useless piece of #$@# I have used. Takes ages to check out projects, then it fails to apply delta or something, doesnt work properly with different line endings.... top secret xacc-ide 0.0.1
